The PROMETA Treatment Program is an innovative, integrated treatment program*

Substance dependence is a complex, multi-factorial disease, and we believe the best outcomes result from an approach that addresses its physiological, psychosocial and nutritional effects on an individual.

The PROMETA Treatment Program includes an integrated delivery of the following:

1. Treatment targeting cravings, withdrawal and anxiety
2. Nutritional support
3. Psychosocial care

Key points to consider:

1. The PROMETA Treatment Program is different from traditional therapies – such as group therapy, abstinence, and behavioral modification – that focus solely on the psychosocial aspects of the dependence.

2. In addition to providing integrated, nutritional and psychosocial support, the PROMETA Treatment Program also focuses on the underlying physiology of the disease and targets the brain receptors thought to play a central role in the disease process to address some of the physical symptoms of dependence, such as cravings, withdrawal, and anxiety.

3. While comprehensive in nature, the PROMETA Treatment Program encourages the use of self-help groups such as AA and NA. Addressing the physiological symptoms of addiction may help substance-dependent individuals attain greater success with self-help groups and traditional psychosocial therapy.
